FIRE, SMOKE & RADIATION DAMPER INSTALLATION GUIDE FOR HVAC SYSTEMS
We are please to announce that SMACNA will hold a virtual Education and Training Program of their "Fire, Smoke & Radiation Damper Installation Guide for HVAC System, 6th Edition".
The purpose of this guide is to outline the requirements and practices in specifying and installing fire dampers, smoke dampers, combination fire and smoke dampers, and ceiling (radiation) dampers. This edition of the guide attempts to provide clarification for each role and that their responsibilities are clearly established, including designers, contractors and code officials as mandated by the model building codes.
This guide contains descriptions, illustrations, recommendations based on industry practices, checklists, and guidance on plan marking. Review of the pertinent language contained in the model codes, the terminology used in the codes and other relevant documents and the code-mandated requirements of plans and specifications.
The program is approximately 90 minutes in duration and will take place on;
